OBC’s Philosophy

Today and Tomorrow: The Philosophy of Bugyo

Our Beginning

We want to support enterprises with a system
that enables them to concentrate on their core business.
The Kanjo Bugyo  accounting system
was born from this vision.

Our brand name “Bugyo” derives from the spirit of Kabuki.

This spirit, which has been passed down for generations
in Kabuki theater, is reflected in our commitment
to keep tackling new challenges for our customers
and in our passion for Japanese manufacturing.

Today

For more than 40 years, we have been listening
to our customers, responding to their needs,
and pursuing new ways of doing business.

Which leads us to today.

By incorporating decades of expertise in enterprise operations
and technology into our business cloud services,
we are working on creating a style of doing business
for the next generation and providing an environment
that enables our customers to focus on what truly matters.

Tomorrow

Our goal is to keep driving innovation
in enterprise operations.
To automatically link all data,
so that enterprise operations flow seamlessly.

Systems assist people, accelerating their business.
This is the future of operations we strive to provide.

No matter how the world changes,
we aim to continue supporting enterprises
with world-class, Japanese quality craftsmanship.

As we have until today, and as we will tomorrow.

Customer First

Business and IT environments are expected to continue changing drastically in the future. What won’t change is OBC’s commitment to its Customer-First Policy.
Never content with our past achievements, we will continue to make every effort to deliver services to our customers that are even more reliable, scalable, and flexible.

OBC’s Strengths

Business is a process of repeated selection and concentration.
Focusing on strengths to enhance expertise as an enterprise.
Maintaining consistency in changing times.
OBC’s five strengths clearly distinguish it from competitors.

Point1

Focus on business services for enterprise operations

Since its founding, OBC has specialized in software for enterprises, and has developed a lineup of products that contribute to the efficiency of core business operations (accounting, payroll, personnel affairs) performed by every enterprise. We help enterprises realize their own style of digital operations.

Point2

Focus on middle-ranking and small and medium-sized enterprises

Middle-ranking and small and medium-sized enterprises account for 99% of all enterprises in Japan. Focusing on this market allows us to provide core systems in a single package to a larger number of customers. To date, a cumulative total of 660,000 enterprises have adopted our systems.

Point3

Focus on Microsoft technologies

While there are many different tools out there for software and cloud development, we consistently select and specialize in Microsoft technologies, which have the highest rate of adoption by Japanese enterprises for their IT environment. The technological partnership with Microsoft enables us to swiftly respond to changes in the OS and development environment so that we can provide high-quality support. The Microsoft Azure cloud platform is also highly reliable, which is one of its major differentiators.

Point4

Focus on partner strategies

Rather than selling directly to customers, we approach enterprises across Japan by concluding partnership agreements with 3,000 sales partners nationwide, including office supply businesses, systems integrators, and accounting firms.
With the rise of cloud services, our partner businesses have expanded into various areas, including financial institutions, consulting firms, labor and social security attorneys, and outsourcing providers. Our connected and expanding world will accelerate further.

Point5

Focus on brand strategies

The brand image of our Bugyo series brand has penetrated the market through commercials featuring a kabuki actor, and this increased customer recognition has expanded our sales channels.
In addition to conventional brand strategies such as commercials, exhibitions, and seminars, we are actively incorporating digital marketing to meet the needs of the times. We aim to promote the adoption of our products by building our image and increasing recognition.

OBC’s Main Business

OBC is a developer and manufacturer of solutions designed primarily for enterprise operations (core operations such as accounting, personnel affairs, and payroll, and related peripheral operations) based on the concept of “digitalizing operations.” We provide cloud services and other services that contribute to the operational efficiency of our customers.

More than just Kanjo Bugyo!

OBC’s Bugyo Cloud series!

The Bugyo Cloud series supports enterprise growth by establishing a new style of digital operations for middle-ranking, small and medium-sized Japanese enterprises through two pillars: Bugyo Cloud, which supports back-office departments’ core business processes, and Bugyo Cloud Edge, which boosts the peripheral front-office operations for employees.
