On April 24, 2006, we were certified by JIPDEC as an enterprise that takes appropriate measures to protect personal information and granted the right to display the “PrivacyMark.”

Efforts to Protect Personal Information

OBIC BUSINESS CONSULTANTS CO., LTD. (the “Company”) works in the information services sector to improve the sophistication and efficiency of enterprises’ core operations, primarily through the development, sales, and provision of services in business technologies and IT (information technology) solutions. Recognizing the importance of protecting personal information under such circumstances, we have established this Personal Information Protection Policy as a code of conduct to be observed by all of our employees and will thoroughly enforce compliance.

• In order to comply with laws and regulations, guidelines set by the Government of Japan, and other norms related to the protection of all personal information handled in our business and the personal information of our officers and employees, the Company has established a personal information protection management system in accordance with the Japanese Industrial Standard “Personal Information Protection Management Systems - Requirements” (JIS Q 15001), and will appropriately operate the system.
• When obtaining personal information, the Company will clarify in advance the purpose of use and whether or not the information will be shared, and obtain the consent of the individual. The Company will use the obtained information appropriately within the scope of its purpose and will take measures to ensure that the information is not used for purposes other than those stated.
• The Company will not share personal information with third parties except when it has obtained the consent of the individual or when required by law. In the event that the handling of personal information is entrusted to a third party in whole or in part, the Company will select a party that fully meets protection standards and will take appropriate measures through the use of contracts and other means.
• The Company will take reasonable security and corrective measures to prevent the leakage, loss, and/or damage of personal information.
• The Company will accept complaints and consultations from individuals regarding its handling of personal information and its personal information protection management system, and will respond to such complaints and consultations appropriately.
• The Company will continuously review and improve its personal information protection management system.
